Cookie and local-storage policy
Scope and legal basis
The website uses browser localStorage and sessionStorage for the functions below, not advertising or analytics cookies. It does not embed external media or tracking services. Browser-storage rules apply even if no cookie is used.
Under Article 4a of the Bulgarian Electronic Commerce Act and Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, storage strictly necessary to remember the privacy choice or provide a temporary setting explicitly requested by you is used for that function. Optional persistent appearance storage requires prior permission. Where personal data are involved, the GDPR bases are described in the privacy notice.
Privacy choice — techHoldingConsentV1
localStorage stores the settings version, necessary-storage status, permission or refusal for preferences, disabled analytics/external-media flags and the time of the choice. The record is considered valid for up to 180 days from that choice. An expired or incompatible record is rejected and removed when the site code next runs. localStorage has no automatic expiry while you are away from the site; you can delete it in your browser at any time. This choice is not sent to a consent server.
Light and dark appearance
A manually selected appearance and its manual-choice flag are stored in sessionStorage under techHoldingThemeSession and techHoldingThemeManual for the browser tab's session. The browser manages the session lifetime; restoring a browser session may restore its data. Without a manual choice, the site can follow the browser's colour-scheme preference without storing a personal profile.
Only with permission for preferences is a manually selected appearance also stored in localStorage as techHoldingTheme. It is used only while the associated choice remains valid, for up to 180 days from that choice. Refusal or withdrawal removes the persistent appearance; an expired or invalid choice is cleaned up when the site code next runs. These entries contain light/dark values or a choice flag, not contact information.
Change or withdraw your choice
Open privacy settings using the button below or the link in the footer. You can refuse optional preferences or switch them off and save. You can also remove this site's storage through your browser. A temporary appearance can remain for the current tab session. Declining persistent preferences leaves the website accessible. Settings and local search entries are not transmitted by these functions to the server or a third-party provider.
Contact form protection
We use Cloudflare Turnstile by Cloudflare, Inc., USA, to detect bots. Cloudflare processes technical signals such as IP address, TLS fingerprint, browser identifier, and the public site key with its associated origin. Our server sends only the verification token and private widget key, not contact fields or the message.
Our legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: protecting the form and our mailboxes against automated abuse. Cloudflare processes signals as our processor for website security and as a controller to improve bot detection. Processing outside the EEA is possible. This check is independent of optional appearance storage.
